PHARMACY TECHNICIAN - ATLANTA, GA

Soleo Health is currently seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician in our Atlanta, GA market.  Duties include IV compounding, clean RX, ordering & receiving medications and supplies, packing and shipping.  Must have State Pharmacy Tech license.  IV compounding experience preferred.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Sterile preparation of IV / infused medications under the direction of the pharmacist and in compliance with current regulations and standards
  2. Demonstrates understanding of USP 797 standards and current State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations
  3. Maintains call and shipment schedules to ensure continuity of care for all patients
  4. Collects, documents, disseminates and coordinates customer communications, laboratory data and various clinical information with pharmacy, nursing and reimbursement staff
  5. Performs efficient data entry of pertinent patient and prescription information into Soleo’s pharmacy software system
  6. Performs all cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy clean room in accordance with Soleo policy and state BOP regulations
  7. Participates in Soleo's quality assurance and performance improvement program
  8. Remains current with the BOP continuing education requirements, and participates in Soleo’s CE offerings and annual re-credentialing process
  9. Performs receiving and storage of medications and supplies from vendors
  10. Performs the picking/packaging of supplies and medications for shipment to the customer home.
  11. Participates in regularly scheduled inventory counts and complies with Soleo’s formulary management program.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

 High school diploma.  Some college credits preferred.

  • Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or as required by the BOP
  • Minimum experience working as a technician in the pharmacy IV room of a hospital.
  • Prior technician experience with a home infusion company is required
  • Current registration and ACPE requirements are met
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent sterile compounding technique
  • Basic to intermediate efficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
