Soleo Health Awarded Urac Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation

Accreditation Awarded after Soleo Health Scored 99.25% of Mandatory Standard Compliance Elements during URAC’s Comprehensive Review

SHARON HILL, Pa., December 1, 2014 – Soleo Health, “Soleo,” an innovative leader in specialty infusion, today announced it received Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation from URAC, an independent, nonprofit organization that promotes healthcare quality through its accreditation, education, and measurement programs. The accreditation was awarded after Soleo Health scored 99.25% of standard required elements during a review process in which a rigorous, transparent, and comprehensive examination of Soleo’s systems, processes, and performance was completed.

To receive URAC’s Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation, Soleo displayed its capabilities as a full service pharmacy serving patients with hemophilia, immune deficiencies, neurological disorders, and other complex conditions who need medications that are injected or infused and typically require special handling and other specialty expertise. “We are pleased URAC recognizes our comprehensive therapy management programs, including Anti-Infective, Bleeding Disorder Therapy, Inotropic Therapy, Immunoglobulin Therapy (intravenous & subcutaneous) and Parenteral Nutrition. Our proprietary programs are designed by our experienced clinical team to enhance patient satisfaction and adherence, while demonstrating an overall reduction in cost,” said Craig Vollmer, President and Chief Operating Officer. “We are dedicated to exceptional clinical outcomes through these programs, and with this accreditation, coupled with our current ACHC accreditation, we have the opportunity to continually demonstrate our commitment to quality through external validation of excellence in specialty pharmacy, home and alternate site infusion,” Vollmer added.

As a leader in promoting healthcare quality through accreditation, education, and measurement programs, URAC awards accreditations to specialty pharmacies who meet and/or exceed over twenty groups of standards, including pharmacy operations, patient management, compliance and more. “Soleo Health should be commended for meeting strict quality standards,” said URAC President and CEO Kylanne Green. “It is critically important for healthcare organizations to make a commitment to quality and accountability. URAC accreditation is a demonstration of that commitment.”
