Sterile Pharmacy Complex Designed to Safely Serve Patients Requiring Specialty Infusion
SHARON HILL, PA., June 17, 2015 – Soleo Health®, “Soleo,” an innovative leader in specialty infusion, has opened a state-of-the-art pharmacy in Canton, Massachusetts. The pharmacy includes a sterile pharmacy complex which features innovative equipment and software designed to safely serve patients who require specialty infusion to treat complex or chronic conditions.
In designing Soleo’s Canton pharmacy, the highest priority was placed on building and maintaining a sterile pharmacy complex to compound therapies in a clean and safe environment. To achieve this, Soleo installed a hands-free entry to buffer and negative pressure rooms, a hands-free sink, a pass-through chamber, and an HVAC system dedicated to the compounding pharmacy. To ensure pharmacy systems are operating optimally, Soleo installed Opto22 ioDisplay application software which continuously monitors temperature, pressures, and relative humidity in the compounding areas. The software also trends data and will notify the pharmacist if there is an exception in system functionality.
