Soleo Health’s Monique Nelson Wins Gold Stevie® Award in the 2020 International Business Awards®

Director of Patient Advocacy Honored for Healthcare Heroic Efforts on Behalf of Patients During COVID-19 Pandemic

FRISCO, Texas, September 22, 2020 – Soleo Health, an innovative leader and national provider of complex specialty pharmacy and infusion services, announced today it earned a Gold Stevie® Award in the Backline Medical Hero of the Year category of The 17th Annual International Business Awards®.

The award recognizes the stellar efforts of Monique Nelson, Soleo Health’s director of patient advocacy. Nelson’s support and assistance to patients during the COVID-19 pandemic truly made a difference in their lives and that of their loved ones. She demonstrated an unrelenting heroic commitment to the delivery of patient care and compassion. There are several instances captured in her nomination where Nelson unselfishly stepped up to aid patients in need during this difficult time, including performing acts beyond her typical duties.

The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small – are eligible to submit nominations. The 2020 IBAs received entries from organizations in 63 nations and territories.

More than 3,800 nominations from organizations of all sizes and virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. This year’s competition also featured a number of categories to recognize organizations’ and individuals’ responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 250 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process from July through early September.

“We are honored that Monique’s above-and-beyond dedication to patient care was acknowledged by the International Business Awards’ judges. Monique is a key member of our patient care and advocacy team, and her passion and commitment to our patients is extraordinary. This is a well-deserved recognition for an amazing person we are proud to have as part of our Soleo Health family,” said Drew Walk, Soleo Health chief executive officer.

“Despite the unprecedented impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on organizations and working people worldwide, the number and quality of nominations we received in this year’s International Business Awards attests to the continued outstanding performance of many organizations. The commitment we’ve seen through these nominations to maintaining the success, health, and safety of employees, customers, and communities is truly impressive,” said Stevie Awards President Maggie Gallagher.
