Home Infusion Therapy Benefits
Learn how to get started
Our home infusion services are designed to address a variety of complex medical needs. Whether you require antibiotic infusions, specialty medications, or intravenous nutrition, we work directly with your insurance provider to verify coverage and obtain the necessary authorizations. In most cases, home infusion therapy is a covered benefit.
Soleo Health appreciates the opportunity to take care of specialty therapy patients. We have a simple referral process to help providers get their patients started.
Meet Kate Richer, a mother of two from Wauseon, Ohio, who shares her powerful story of living with Graves’ disease and thyroid eye disease, and how home infusion therapy transformed her life.
The constant eye pain, extreme light sensitivity, and swelling made simple daily activities unbearable.
After her thyroid removal surgery, Kate’s doctor connected her with Soleo Health for at-home infusion therapy. This decision became a turning point in her treatment journey.
Kate’s story demonstrates how personalized, compassionate healthcare can restore physical health, enhance quality of life, boost confidence, and enable engagement with the people and activities that matter most.
Our team will guide you through every step, from verifying your insurance coverage to providing comprehensive training and ongoing support.
Soleo Health develops an individualized plan of care focused on your home infusion therapy needs. Our most important concern is your safety and comfort. Please contact us if you have a question that is not listed in the FAQs.
Home infusion therapy is a safe and effective alternative to hospital inpatient care. For most people, receiving treatment at home or in an alternative treatment setting, such as an ambulatory infusion suite, is preferable to hospital inpatient care. It provides comfort and convenience for patients and offers little interruption to their daily activities.
Several factors are considered before a patient can receive infusion therapy in the home, including the patient’s and/or caregiver’s desire and willingness to adhere to therapy and a safe and appropriate home environment.
Depending on your health insurance coverage, home infusion therapy services may be more cost-effective than receiving care in the hospital.
Most insurance companies cover home infusion therapy. We will work with your insurance company to obtain patient benefit verification and authorization. You would be responsible for any copays and out-of-pocket costs. Before your treatment starts, we will update you on your insurance coverage.
Once you are discharged from the hospital and ready to receive your therapy at home, we will schedule your infusion appointment at your convenience. Your infusion medication is then mixed in a local, accredited Soleo Health branch pharmacy that meets all industry sterility standards.
Some patients are good candidates to administer the therapy themselves. If this is an option for you, the nurse will teach you or your caregiver how to administer the medication until your comfort level allows you to become independent with your therapy. Administering your own therapy will help you return to your day-to-day activities.
Soleo Health regularly cares for patients who travel, work, coach, play sports, and do just about anything else. We have infusion devices that are lightweight and portable and require only a backpack, purse, or even a pocket for transport. Our pharmacies have the capability to support all of your home infusion needs when traveling within the United States.
