Ophthalmologic Conditions

Ophthalmologic conditions are diseases and disorders that affect the eyes and the structures around them. Some, like thyroid eye disease (TED), are treated with specialty medications given by infusion.

Thyroid eye disease (TED) is an autoimmune disorder in which the tissues around the eyes swell. Symptoms can include bulging eyes, dry eyes or a gritty feeling in the eyes, double vision, pressure or pain behind the eyes and complications with the optic nerve. Treatment options can include steroids, infusions and surgical procedures.

Soleo Health has access to Tepezza® and Lumvoa™, which are FDA-approved intravenous treatments for TED.

If your medication and insurance allow for home infusion, Soleo Health will send an infusion nurse to your home. You can also receive treatment at one of our ambulatory infusion centers (AICs) located across the United States. Home infusion can be helpful if your condition affects your ability to drive.

Each patient has a dedicated patient ambassador who serves as a single point of contact for benefits and coverage questions. Pharmacists and registered nurses are available 24/7/365 to help with your care and concerns.

Patients receiving TED therapy are supported through our TED Therapeutic Care Management Center (TCMC). The team includes therapy-care pharmacists, registered nurses, reimbursement specialists and patient care ambassadors. Our specialty pharmacies hold pharmacy licensure in all 50 states.

Soleo Health has agreements with national, regional and local health plans, government plans and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), covering both medical and pharmacy benefits. Your patient ambassador can help you understand your coverage.
